Ideally, both company and adviser perspectives should be understood to deliver an efficient and effective process.
Our approach is to provide this specialist skill-set, with experience of acting as part of the company and as an adviser. This underpins our ability to work constructively with our clients and the wider advisory team.
Different to the conventional external adviser approach, we do not work on a large number of parallel projects. Instead, we work “in-house” as part of our client’s team for the duration of their transaction. Typically, a single person is dedicated to that transaction, rather than being split between different team members.
OGG Consulting was founded in 2015 by Oli Greaves, to work with companies preparing for IPOs, drawing on his experience first as a banker and then as an entrepreneurial CEO. This includes over 20 years experience in advisory and corporate roles, having advised FTSE100 & 250 and international companies at Merrill Lynch, where he was a Managing Director, after starting his career at UBS/Warburg. In 2013 he co-founded an international coal technology company, where he was first CFO then CEO. His transaction experience is both extensive and wide ranging, having raised over US$100bn in equity for his clients and executed M&A transactions valued at over US$490bn in over 100 transactions.
In the 5 years since its foundation, OGG Consulting has worked on a number of major IPOs, M&A and capital raisings. These include:
- IPOs of MADE.COM (£775m), Charter Court (£550m), ConvaTec (£4.4bn) and Countryside (£1bn dual track IPO/M&A);
- acquisitions by Elementis’s of Mondo Minerals ($500m), RWS of Moravia ($320m) and RWS’s £2.9bn combination with SDL
- capital raisings by HSS (£44m in equity), Elementis ($$230m rights issue and $775 debt refinancing) and RWS (£185m equity issue)
as well as other, confidential projects.
